Lux Aurumque - Golden Light

BLUE RIDGE SINGERS CHRISTMAS 2024 CONCERT SERIES

SHENANDOAH VALLEY VA - Blue Ridge Singers will present "Golden Light" in December as our Christmas Concert series for 2024. Artistic Director Dr. Jeffrey M. Alban describes this presentation which kicks off season sixteen for the community:

"Our program is designed around the text of our centerpiece Lux Aurumque: {Light...warm and heavy

as pure gold. And angels sing softly to the new-born babe.} Various musical styles each reflecting upon aspects of the Christmas season: traditional carol arrangements original compositions a pre-Baroque motet jazz settings spirituals and American folksongs all combine to make this season more meaningful for you!

We are also pleased to present our accompanist Daniel Miller alongside several guest instrumentalists.

We appreciate these instrumentalists’ efforts to present this music as the composers originally intended."
