*NEW SPEAKER AND DATE!!Join Grace Lutheran Church for a presentation of "I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel" by Rev. Dr. Peter Scaer (Chairman and Professor of the Exegetical Theology Department at CTSFW).
"I am not ashamed of the Gospel." Our Lord says, "Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, I will be ashamed of him before my Father in heaven." Christians are tempted to think like the world, to set aside the God of the Scriptures, the author of our salvation and our creation. The stakes are high. When we confess God as Father, we recognize the importance of earthly fathers. We speak the truth about the value of life in the womb, even as we celebrate the incarnation and our Lord who made his home in the womb of Mary. We must speak up for true marriage, and as we do, we confess Christ who is the groom who laid down his life for his bride the church. No man can serve two masters. So it is, we must believe the truth in our hearts, and speak it with our hearts. Faith must speak, never going along with the lies that have overtaken so many."
We will have a potluck meal at 5:30p followed by Rev. Dr. Scaer's keynote presentation, as well as a time for questions and discussion.
