LUST FOR LIFE returns Sunday April 28th at Dorothy (with a new day and time of the week!) as our bi-monthly rock n' roll burlesque show! Hosted, Produced, & Curated by Kitty Tornado & Greta-X, you don't want to miss this showcase that's a celebration of bodies and rock n' roll!

Lust for Life was born from a lifelong love for rock n’ roll and badass self-expression. Named after the iconic 1977 punk album of the same title by Iggy Pop, Kitty and Greta aim to bring a variety of rock-based burlesque and boylesque acts to Dorothy each month with their co-curated line-ups against a soundtrack of timeless riffs! These badass babes hope to put on an evening that electrifies, delights, and celebrates TWO classically-rebellious forms of art TOGETHER AT ONCE: rock n’ roll music and burlesque striptease!

For April, Kitty and Greta welcome in guest performers Lupita Lovely, MochaMocha 2.0, Ms. B LaRose, Switch the Boi Wonder, and Willy LaQueue!

Doors at 6pm / show starts at 7pm! Arrive early for best seating opportunities! All guests must provide a physical ID (21+) for entry. If you are a guest who requires a seat and purchases an “Entry” only ticket - please reach out before the show and we will reserve a limited seat for you!

ABOUT THE CREATORS

Kitty Tornado (she/her) Kitty first blew her way into burlesque when she moved from Michigan to Chicago in 2014 and performed throughout the Midwest until 2019. With a degree in theater production as a “behind the scenes bitch,” she never imagined that she would love the stage time and getting naked for the masses! She loves burlesque most for its creativity and liberation. Kitty spent a few years on a performance hiatus, and traveled across Europe while living overseas in España before returning to Chicago and becoming the Co-Creator/Producer of Lust for Life. When not storming the stage, she ‘grams about travel and food, hides her secret identity in the corporate world and eats as many famous burgers as she possibly can. Greta-X (she/her) is a visual artist and audiophile who first sank her crooked teeth into local burlesque in 2017. A “Learning Queen,” for the past four years, Greta worked toward two Master’s degrees, and she has cultivated an artistic practice exploring femme autonomy and collaboration through documentary photography and writing. Bringing together her love of rock music, glitter, and glamorous gender-bending, she’s the smartest ass at the top of the class… with flex n’ sex, it’s Greta-X! @ericamckeehen

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Willy LaQueue (he/him) is a dashing dandy and sultry stripper starlet twinkling in the Windy City. He's been working as a dancer, instructor, and choreographer for almost three decades, venturing into burlesque in 2012, and he has twirled across stages and bar floors in the US, Canada, and Europe. Willy has opened for musicians Lizzo and Sandra Bernhard, appeared in the Showtime comedy series “Work In Progress,” been featured in burlesque festivals across the country, and performed at the historic birthplace of the modern LGBTQ rights movement, the Stonewall Inn. Willy is also the creator and artistic director of the immersive political cabaret spectacle DELIRIUM at The Newport Theater. He's a flamboyant fop who shimmies in the spaces between drag, burlesque, and dance theater. He's light in his loafers, a dear friend of Dorothy, and the Limpest Wrist in Burlesque! Switch the Boi Wonder (he/they) brings both "Daddy" and "Dad" to the stage. Switch has been dazzling stages and making anyone with a beating heart swoon for over 20 years. Switch is Co-Producer of Notes on Masculinity: a Drag King Centered Cabaret, which runs bi-monthly at the California Clipper. Switch is an out loud and proud Trans Elder and continues to share their art on stage to be visible for those who cannot be. Known as "the panty dropper of burlesque," They "put the "end" in gender. @switchtheboi

”Known as the Glittering Goddess with the Heart of Gold, Ms. B LaRose (she/they/goddess) is an electric, fun loving burlesque entertainer, producer, and motivator based in Chicago. This fiery Filipina-Latina brings a raw sultry, mischievous side smile that has been captivating audiences worldwide including stops in Germany, Netherlands, England, and Scotland, and was dubbed "The Biggest Tease" at the 2018 International Latin & Hispanic Burlesque Festival.

She is the Owner & Producer of Honey Hive Productions and is Co-Producer of Latinesque, bringing world class entertainment that highlights diversity, inclusivity, and equity for fellow artists all through the love for the art of tease! @msblarose

Lupita Lovely (they/she/he) is a queer performer who has been taking to the stage for the last five years as a soloist – but has their performance roots in hip hop and contemporary dance. They are always on a journey to blend dance genres while leaving room for some ass-shaking fun! Currently they teach pole, chair, and other dance styles in the Chicago suburbs. They are a himbo in limbo, a thembo on the edge – she is Lupita Lovely! @lupita_lovely_

Choreographer, Creator and Dance Enthusiast MochaMocha2.0 (she/her) is the hottest name on the Chicago scene. Known for her ability to light up any room with her bright personality, amazing moves, and sensual nature, MochaMocha2.0 is the go-to dancer for all parties and events. She is also the CEO of Body Confidence for Queens, a trailblazing dance company native to Chicago that teaches Queens how to gain confidence in their bodies through dance. Mocha is a very high profile performer, requested by many for her energy, skills, and gifts in hosting and producing shows.“She’s the chocolate treat you’d love to eat!” @MochaMocha2.0

Alex the Axe (he/him) is a proud Puerto Rican who loves metal, comic books, and making sweet tune-age with his collection of guitars. He has been living in the diaspora for 11 years and is always on the hunt for friends who want to make music with him. When he isn’t reading about world history, punk, and politics, flying up some tasty tostones, or spinning records, you can find him working at Alley Cat Comics in Andersonville on weekends where he will happily recommend you next favorite graphic novel… @alexander.the.dave
