- Learn why early detection and lung cancer screening can save lives
- Understand the important connection between your lungs, heart, and overall health
- Learn what lung cancer is, who is most at risk, and how it is diagnosed
- Hear from a lung cancer survivor about their journey, resilience, and the importance of patient advocacy
- Learn about today's lung cancer treatment options and biomarker testing
- Hear directly from physicians, healthcare professionals, patient advocates, and community leaders
- Learn how to better navigate the healthcare system after a diagnosis
- Discuss the financial impact of lung cancer and resources that may help
- Ask questions directly to our panel of experts
- Learn how health policy and access to care can affect you and your community
What Makes This Different
HEAL Collaborative programs are designed to be launching pads for better health outcomes.
We don't want you to simply sit and listen. We encourage you to ask questions, share your experiences, speak directly with our presenters, and bring a family member or caregiver into the conversation.
The program concludes with lunch, giving attendees another opportunity to connect, continue conversations, and build relationships with others in the community.

Who Should Attend
Our priority is reaching adults 50 and older, particularly current and former smokers who may be at increased risk. But lung cancer doesn't affect one person it affects entire families and communities. Children may unexpectedly become caregivers, coworkers may find themselves supporting a colleague through a diagnosis, and neighbors and community members can become powerful advocates for someone navigating cancer.
That's why this conversation is for everyone. If you have lungs, you can get lung cancer. Whether you're at risk, supporting someone you love, or simply want to protect your future health, understanding lung cancer, prevention, screening, and early detection matters.
We also encourage adults approaching age 50, family members and caregivers, lung cancer patients and survivors, and younger adults who want to learn more about prevention and become stronger health advocates for themselves and their families.
Lung cancer screening with a Low-Dose CT (LDCT) scan is recommended for certain adults ages 50–80 with a 20 pack-year or greater smoking history who currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years. Talk with a healthcare professional to determine whether screening is appropriate for you.
