When Putin launched his brutal and unjustified invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, many wondered if the Ukrainian military could last 4 weeks, let alone 4 weeks, against one of the largest and most powerful armies in the world.
Now, well over 4 years later, not only have the people and the military of Ukraine people stopped Putin’s plan to destroy their democracy and reconstitute the Soviet Union, they have amazed and inspired the free world with their heroism, sacrifice and ingenuity.
Ukrainians are showing the world how to fight on the new, modern and ever-evolving battlefields of today – and what tactics and technologies may shape warfare for years to come.
The Council is honored to host an esteemed delegation of Ukrainian combat veterans, who will present a first-hand and real-world account of Putin’s war on Ukraine.
Well over 1 million Ukrainians have served in the war and approximately 300,000 have been injured, many gravely. This delegation of Ukrainian veterans is traveling to Texas to learn how Americans in the government, non-profit & private sectors work to support veterans.
We invite you to hear from this courageous delegation of veterans of the Ukraine War and to learn how the wars of today and tomorrow will be fought.
