Lunch Zumba in Sydney CBD / Circular Quay
About this Event
Office day in the city? Spend your lunch break doing something that actually wakes you up. This is a welcoming, queer-friendly, judgement-free Zumba class where you can show up as you are, move how you can, and leave feeling lighter (and weirdly more productive for the rest of the afternoon).
Zumba is a dance-fitness program that feels like a party but works your whole body. We use simple, repeatable choreography set to energising music, so you get a proper cardio hit without staring at a clock. No dance experience needed. If you can move and follow along, you can do Zumba.
Bring a colleague, drag the one who keeps "meaning to try Zumba", and reclaim your midday.

What to expect
This class is 45 minutes with one short water break, designed to fit a lunch hour with time to freshen up after. We start the music by 12:05 pm and finish by 12:50 pm.
The vibe
All-levels friendly and judgement-free, with options to reduce impact (no jumping), slow it down, or take a pause whenever you need. Expect Latin rhythms, pop, and throwback bangers, with a little queer joy on top.
First-time tips
Pick a spot where you can see me. If you miss a move, keep stepping to the beat and jump back in. Here's the secret: the front row isn't the easiest spot when you're new, a little further back lets you follow the people in front and skip the mirror confusion. Breaks allowed, dramatic hair flicks encouraged.
Back to your desk
It's a midday class, so come as you are. Loose work clothes are fine, but you'll want proper sports shoes. And you will sweat (I guarantee it), so bringing something you can move in to change into is a good idea.

Venue
We dance at the 180 George Street Community Space, run by the City of Sydney. It's on the first floor of the plaza building, light and airy with glass on one side, wood-panelled walls, and plenty of room. The space holds up to 50 people, and we keep this class capped around 40 so there's space to move.
Address: 180 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Level 1

Getting there and parking
You're a five-minute walk from both Circular Quay and Wynyard, so trains, ferries, light rail, and buses all drop you close by. There's lift access to Level 1.
If you're driving, this is the heart of the CBD, so parking is limited and pricey. Public transport is by far the easier option at lunchtime. Accessible (mobility) parking is available within 300m.
---
Arrival and building access
The space is on Level 1, reachable by lift. I'll be there from 11:55 so we can get into the room right on 12 and still finish within the lunch hour. Aim to arrive a couple of minutes before class, but if you're running late, no worries, just join us whenever you're ready.
Please bear with us for the first couple of weeks while we get familiar with this new space. If anything changes, I'll message everyone booked in.

Booking and tickets
No membership, no lock-in. Grab a ticket here and come dance. New to Zumba? Use "NEW50" code to get first class half-price.
Come often? Talk to me after class. My class packs work out cheaper than drop-in rates, and they cover every class I run (so you can mix this lunchtime session with the evening ones). No pressure, whenever you're ready.

At the class
Please read the terms and conditions of participating in my Zumba class here: zumbawithpawel.com/terms
If you have an injury, are pregnant, or are returning to exercise, consider checking in with a health professional first.
Listen to your body and adjust the intensity to your fitness level. You're welcome to take lower-impact options, pause, or step out for air at any time.

Accessibility and comfort
This venue is one of the more accessible spaces we use, which I love. It has a step-free entrance with automatic doors, lift access to Level 1, an accessible unisex toilet, and ambulant toilets. Mobility parking is available within 300m.
I aim to make class welcoming and easy to follow:
- Lower-impact options are always available.
- You can pause, step out, or modify moves at any time.
- If you have access needs or questions about the space (sound level, lighting, seating, getting in), message me and I'll tell you what to expect.

What to bring
- Comfortable, supportive shoes
- Clothes you can move in (a quick change at the desk works fine)
- Water
- A small towel (optional, but you'll thank yourself before your next meeting)
