Please join us for lunch with our guest speaker, Emily Sellers, Executive Director of Champ’s Heart.
Champ’s Heart is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope and healing through the powerful connection between people and horses. Located in Idaho Falls, the program serves children, individuals, and families facing physical, emotional, or developmental challenges. Through hands-on experiences with horses, participants build confidence, gain a sense of calm, and experience the unconditional love these animals so naturally provide.
What makes Champ’s Heart unique is that all activities are offered completely free of charge, ensuring that finances are never a barrier to care or connection. The program is made possible through the dedication of volunteers, the generosity of donors, and strong community partnerships. From horse handling and riding to simply spending quiet moments together in the arena, every interaction is tailored to the comfort level of each participant.
Since its founding, Champ’s Heart has grown into more than just a program — it has become a community where hope is renewed, hearts are lifted, and healing begins. With a commitment to both excellence and compassion, the organization strives to expand its reach so that more families can benefit from the life-changing bond between people and horses.
Emily Sellers, Executive Director of Champ’s Heart, was born and raised in a small town in Arizona, where her lifelong passion for horses began. From an early age, she found joy in riding, training, and caring for horses—experiences that deeply shaped her path. Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Biology before spending 15 successful years in the finance industry, where she developed strong skills in leadership and strategy.
Today, Emily brings together her background in financial management, leadership, and animal care to guide Champ’s Heart with both passion and foresight. Alongside her husband Brad and their two boys, Emily enjoys a full family life filled with sports games, camping trips, golfing, and horseback riding. She is dedicated to ensuring Champ’s Heart continues to grow as a place of healing, hope, and connection for all who come through its doors.
