Join us on June 26th for Black Folktales From Africa to South Carolina.
Presented by Damon Forham, Spartanburg native and author of five books on South Carolina's Black History.
These are stories gathered from storytellers during Damon’s visits to West Africa, as well as the tales he heard growing up among his elders in South Carolina. This presentation shows the role such stories played in the humor, resilience, philosophy, and instruction of a people.
Admission: $5 for non-members / Free for SCHA members.
