About this Event
Join Dr Hilda Maclean, Local Heritage Specialist, to explore the history of the clothing industry of Beenleigh and beyond.
For decades, local businesses provided jobs for generations of residents and helped shape the local economy. From clothing factories and textile production to the people who worked behind the scenes, this talk uncovers an important part of the region's industrial past.
Through historic photographs and newspaper articles, learn how the industry changed over time and the impact it had on the local community.
Bring your lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. The session will run for 45 minutes and start at 12.15 pm sharp.
