Lunar New Year Mahjong & Fashion Show

Do you ever reminisce traditional Chinese banquet hall parties with your family? We want our generation to continue those traditions and support Oakland Chinatown small businesses! Hosted by the second generation of Peony, this event will kickstart a series of community-building events with intent to highlight nearby small businesses and bring more foot traffic back to Oakland Chinatown.

Celebrate Lunar New Year in style with an unforgettable Mahjong & Fashion Show at Peony Seafood Restaurant, your favorite destination for authentic hand-crafted dim sum and fresh seafood. Join us for an evening that blends tradition, fashion, and food as we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with elegance and excitement!

Your ticket includes open mahjong and board games play and a taste of Peony’s delicious combo plate freshly prepared by our chefs. The night comes alive with a stunning fashion show (starts promptly at 6:30pm) spotlighting Sasha’s House, a local small business, featuring modern and traditional designs to celebrate the festivities of the New Year!
