Celebrate the Year of the Snake at The Shops at Mohegan Sun on Sunday, February 9, 2025!Following tradition, celebrations for the Year of the Snake include the Fortune God, red envelopes and more!
Mohegan Sun will celebrate Lunar New Year on Sunday, February 9th! Following tradition, celebrations for the Year of the Snake include the Fortune God, red envelopes and more! Celebrate with the 2024 Miss Chinese Beauty Pageant winners, cultural artisans, and the Fortune God in The Shops Concourse, and then experience the traditional Lion Dance at the Sun Patio. The Lion Dance has long symbolized the exorcising of evil spirits and the summoning of luck and fortune. The performance will start at 2:00pm at the Sun Patio, making its way through The Shops Concourse, and ending at the Sky Entrance of Mohegan Sun Arena.
Schedule of Events:
Noon - 2:00pm: Fortune God at The Shops Concourse
2:00pm: Remarks from Mohegan Executives
2:10pm: Lion Dance at Sun Patio
2:20pm: Firecrackers
2:25pm - 3:00pm: Lion dance to continue through The Shops Concourse, ending at Mohegan Sun Arena Sky Entrance
