Join award-winning Green Bay band Luma Knotty for their original blend of guitar-driven funk, rock, and reggae in Algoma on Saturday, August 22nd from 11am to 3pm at Smashed on the Rocks.
Founded in 2017 by guitarist and lead singer Ryan Patrick, he had the idea to fuse his musical roots in blues and funk rock with his formal training from McNally Smith College of Music and his years of experience in roots reggae. Incorporating the roots of various Latin styles, Luis on Keys has also been formally trained in gospel and jazz, which has helped to shape the band's eclectic sound.
Luma Knotty won the 2019 and 2024 Wisconsin Area Music Awards in the World category, and most recently won the 2025 Bay Area Music Award in the Latin/World/Reggae/Ska category. The band released their third album in September of 2024 -'Favorite Dream', which is available on lumaknotty.com and anywhere you can find music. Luma Knotty is currently recording their 4th album.
