Join us in the Temple for an afternoon celebrating Lughnasadh!
Also known as Lammas, Lughnasadhis the first of the three harvest celebrations. Steeped in ancient traditions and a multitude of celebrations, this Gaelic festival was in honor of the Sun God Lugh, who in turn held celebrations to honor his foster mother, Tailtiu. According to Irish mythology, Tailtiu died after clearing the plains of Ireland for agriculture. Many celebrations include, fire, competitions, feasting, trading, crafting, handfasting, and so much more!
During the event we will:
-Snacks with harvest inspired nourishment. This is a potluck event... You are welcome to bring a vegetarian snack, side dish, dessert, and/or beverage!
-Share stories in circle inspiring the energy of the season
-Help build our community’s Pagan Wheel seasonal altar in our shared altar room*
-Get creative and crafty… and then take home for personal ritual use
*Please bring an altar item to represent the energy you are leaning into for the coming season. You are welcome to take the altar item home when we dismantle the altar at the end of the night, end of the season, or you can leave your item as a gift for the temple.
This offering is for guys, gals and all in-between and other pals. Minimum age to attend is 13.
Whether in or out of the Broom Closet, this gathering is for you!
