Lughnasadh, celebrating the first harvest of life and of ourselves

Lughnasadh, or Lammas, is a traditional Celtic harvest and fire festival most often celebrated on August 1st. Join Jack and Lesley Montgomery for an honoring of the first harvest of grains. The grains represent abundance and the continuous cycle of life. We will show our gratitude for the harvest with music and dancing. An offering of any sort of grain or bread that you have on hand is welcomed. We will meet at our usual grove of trees behind the City Park topiary at City Park Ave and Solomon Place. It will be hot, bring water and a fan if you'd like. Also bring a chair or blanket for sitting if you would like.
