Join us for a fun-filled evening of food, fellowship, music, and island fun at the Good Shepherd Luau! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors as we enjoy a wonderful evening together and celebrate the joy of community.

Evening Program

Info: Our evening will begin with an opening prayer, inviting God’s blessing upon our gathering and celebration.
From there, we will take a musical and cultural journey across the Pacific, visiting the islands of Samoa, Hawaiʻi, Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji, and New Zealand. At each stop, the EFKS-Utah Youth will share traditional dance performances celebrating the unique culture and heritage of each island.
A special part of each island’s celebration will be the Taualuga. During each Taualuga, families will have the opportunity to make a donation on behalf of their family in support of the dancers. As the dance takes place, everyone gathered—including our guests—is invited to participate by giving a dollar or two in support of that family’s dance.
The Taualuga is a beautiful cultural tradition that invites everyone to participate and share in the celebration together. We will conclude our journey with a final Taualuga performed by the EFKS-Utah Youth and their Taupou.
