3 vs 3 Men's/Women's Team PlayTeam Setup
Teams consist of 3 players
In Women's no Men allowed
In Men's a team may consist of up to 3 Women
Ratings & Divisions
POD Format:
After registration closes, all registered teams will be ranked (e.g., 1–30, or based on total entries) and placed into PODs of either teams of 16 (4 Pools of 4), 12 (3 Pools of 4), 8 (2 Pools of 4) or 4. DUPR ratings will be used to determine the POD seeding:
Example:
POD 1: Teams 1–16
POD 2: Teams 17–25
POD 3: Teams 26–39
POD play consists of:
Round Robin play, followed by Bracket play.
One POD winner will be crowned from each POD.
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches (6 games per person), with additional games for teams advancing into bracket play.
Add all three DUPR ratings together to determine your division
Example:
3.5 + 3.75 + 4.25 = 11.5 → Register for DUPR 12
Don't try to fit into a specific division, because PODs will be created using above format. Grab 2 friends and create a team!!
If your team does not have DUPR ratings (or has limited match history), select the division that best fits your skill level and contact the Tournament Director.
Match Format
Each team is guaranteed at least 3 matches
Each match consists of 3 games
Each player plays 2 games per match
Team captain sets the lineup
Scoring & Advancement
Players are guaranteed at least 6 games
Teams advancing to playoffs will play additional games
The team that wins 2 out of 3 games wins the match
