The LSU Symphonic Band begins the spring semester with a concert titled …from a long distance, exploring themes of distance, reflection, and connection through evocative compositions. The program opens with Chen Yi’s Spring Festival, a vibrant celebration of the Chinese New Year, followed by Susan Botti’s stirring Eye of the Hawk. The evening continues with Roshanne Etezady’s dynamic Parhelion and concludes with Kimberly Archer’s bold and adventurous Odyssey.
