If your child is turning 4 on, or before, September 30, 2026, they're ready to enroll in Public Pre-K!If your child is zoned for L.P. Vaughn Elementary, please join us at the school site, 1500 Gold St, Natchitoches, LA 71457, between 4:00pm and 6:00pm on Tuesday, April 21st to learn more about the school and enroll your child at the same time so you're prepared before summer.
Required documents needed to enroll:
• Child’s updated immunization record
• Child’s birth certificate (must be 4 years old by September 30)
• Child’s Social Security card
• Parent/Guardian Photo ID
• Proof of residence (utility bill, water bill, mortgage, or lease)
(If you live with family or friends, an Affidavit of Residency and documentation from the homeowner will be required.)
Proof of Income (Bring ONE of the following):
• SNAP and/or Medicaid (select “Yes” in the online application)
• Two current consecutive pay stubs for each parent/guardian in the household
• Letter from employer showing pay rate and hours
• Social Security statement, if applicable
• Statement of No Income Form (if no income)
• Declaration of Irregular Income Form (if self-employed)
*If applicable, also bring:*
• Court orders
• Legal guardianship documents
• Proof of disability
• Request for hardship
