The average American produces 25% more trash in the month of December. Let’s put a dent in that with simple, yet still festive, Low Waste holiday swaps. Members of Boonsboro Green Fest’s Zero Waste Exchange (ZWE) will also demonstrate low or no waste gift wrapping techniques that will up your gift giving game without the trash.
There will be a Swap Table at the workshop where participants bring items from home that they no longer need, and this time there will be a holiday theme—cards, ribbon, decor, cookie tins, tablecloths, regifts, etc.
The members of ZWE hope that this gathering will spark an interest in intentional, low waste living.
