Join us to celebrate a new publication telling the story of the Low Ham Roman Villa. Gather round Low Ham’s famous mosaic to hear the book’s authors speak about this large villa and its landscape context. See some of the finds found in recent and historic excavations at the site.The discovery of this elaborate and extensive villa first made the headlines 80 years ago. This book is the first comprehensive account of the detailed archaeological research undertaken at the site.
The book is published by the Society of Antiquaries of London, with funding from Historic England and Pilgrim Trust, Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society, the Association for Roman Archaeology, the Roman Research Trust and the Study and Preservation of Roman Mosaics.
