Low Gap is primed to take the Country Music world by storm. With roots in Eastern Kentucky and Southeastern Ohio, brothers Gus and Phin Johnson grew up listening to Bluegrass and Americana music. That—combined with Folk, Country, and Classic and Southern Rock—creates the unique tone that has become the duo's signature sound. Drummer Zach Schlake and bassist Ben Yoder joined the duo in 2023 and have elevated Low Gap to become a bonafide force in the underground red-dirt scene. The group has played shows across the Country including esteemed venues and events such as SXSW in Austin and WhiskeyJam in Nashville, as well notable opening gigs throughout the greater midwest. Low Gap has also been featured in content created by dominant country critics and influencers such as Grady Smith, Saving Country Music, and Country Central.
