About this Event

Join Us for Loving Black Girls Beyond Behavior!
The Psychology of Black Girls

Join Under My Wing, Inc. for the Beyond Behavior Summer Series — a transformative community learning experience designed for educators, mentors, youth workers, nonprofit leaders, caregivers, social workers, and advocates committed to supporting Black girls through trauma-informed and healing-centered practices.

This interactive summer series explores the connection between trauma, identity, behavior, emotional safety, and restorative support for Black girls and young women. Participants will engage in reflective dialogue, experiential learning activities, practical skill-building, and culturally responsive strategies that can be immediately applied in schools, mentoring programs, and community spaces.

Too often, Black girls are misunderstood, overdisciplined, adultified, or expected to carry emotional burdens without adequate support. This series challenges traditional approaches to behavior and discipline while equipping participants with tools to create safer, more affirming environments rooted in empathy, accountability, healing, and connection.
