Lovestruck for Longsword 2026!Coombs Fairgrounds & Event Centre on February 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm for an Open Steel Longsword tournament, an Open Steel Rapier & Dagger tournament, and an URG Longsword tournament.
Format for the main event and undercard will be adjusted to best-fit the number of fighters signed-up for each event, including number of fights or eliminations vs. multiple pool rounds, with a bias toward the main event. As always, we want to offer as many fighters as many matches as possible, while promoting quality fencing, and respecting folks time and travel constraints.
Directors, Judges, and Table will be selected from those fighters who are not currently fighting in a pool, so as per usual, we'll setup 2 pits and a 4 pool format, so we have folk to fill these roles.
As always, self-calls, safe, honourable fighting, and sportsmanship are expected. Final word on all calls are on the Director and we'll post details to the Google Drive, as well as videos and photos of the event afterwards. I'll send an Email the week before the tournament with details and links. If anyone is going to be around the weekend of the event and want to join us for class, or get together, let us know on our Discord event page! :)
All gear must be inspected, standard HEMA competition ready, and in good quality, when you arrive - Email us if you want to use something non-standard, but don't assume it'll be approved. We have some club gear for use, but club steel swords are limited, so make arrangements to borrow, share, or bring your own steel swords.
$35 entry fee for one event, plus $15 for the second event.
