Rising Stars Performing Arts is proud to present Lovers, the celebrated and deeply moving play by Brian Friel.

Set in rural Ireland, Lovers is a poignant exploration of romance, hope, memory, and the lives we imagine for ourselves. Through two contrasting stories, Friel paints a vivid portrait of love in all its forms, from the exhilarating intensity of young passion to the quiet complexities of long term devotion. Hilarious, tender, and heartbreaking, Lovers reminds us that every relationship is shaped by both the choices we make and the circumstances beyond our control.

Directed by Jessica Rae Foulds, this production features nine talented performers ages 14–19 from Norwalk and surrounding communities, bringing fresh energy and emotional depth to one of Ireland's most beloved theatrical works.

Rising Stars is also thrilled to present this production in partnership with the Norwalk Performing Arts Lab, an exciting collaboration that continues to create new opportunities for young artists and enrich the local performing arts community. We are grateful to the Lab for hosting this production and look forward to growing this creative relationship in the years ahead.
