The lead up to saying “I do” is stressful for anyone. For Alain, it’s next level.Lovely Day follows Alain as he prepares to marry Virginie at Saint-Joseph’s Oratory, surrounded by friends and family, including his divorced Lebanese-Egyptian immigrant parents. But instead of feeling calm, old insomnia, anxiety, and illness creep back in, and the day starts to unravel.
Between family tension, an unreliable best man, and deeper worries surfacing, this becomes a funny, tender, and very human take on the classic wedding story.
