Come join us for a fun walk where we spread love and kindness to our neighbors in the community!
About this Event

Welcome to the Love Your Neighbor Walk! Gather in faith to walk together in our shared calling of loving our neighbors.

Grounded in the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10), this event is an opportunity to show our community the joy of loving our neighbor!

Bring a sign to carry in the spirit of Christian unity - or meet @ 5:45pm at Grace UMC to make a sign to carry.

Bring a donation of whole grain cereal for Loaves & Fishes.

All are invited to join in a potluck at Our Saviour’s following the walk!

Event is hosted by the congregations on the route, but we are not limited by geography or congregational boundaries. In our shared calling to love our neighbor, any who wish to participate in the spirit of neighbor-love are welcome.

ROUTE:

Begin at Grace United Methodist, 300 E. Gartner Rd. (sign making at 5:45pm)
Knox Presbyterian, 1105 Catalpa Ave.
Our Saviour’s Lutheran, Celebration Campus, 919 S. Washington
End at Our Saviour’s Lutheran, 815 S. Washington

Walk or drive to each location & gather at main entrance for guided prayer.

See below for descriptions and estimated timeframes. Parking is available at all locations if driving is preferred.

We will meet indoors at each location if weather is uncooperative.

Info: Make a sign to carry in the spirit of loving our neighbors starting at 5:45pm. Event begins with the Good Samaritan story and prayer at 6:00pm. Bring a donation of whole grain cereal for Loaves & Fishes with you.

Info: Meet outside main entrance for a time of guided prayer and lighting vigil candles as a sign of solidarity with our neighbors who are hurting.

Potluck at Our Saviour's Main Campus - all are welcome

Info: Stay for a bite to eat and be in community together. Stay as your schedule allows. If you have a simple food item to share, please feel free to bring. Our Saviour's will provide drinks and a few simple chilis or soups.
