Love Letters to the Living World

In this two-hour interactive workshop, Halie Tenor - founder of Nested Kin and eco-grief tender - will guide participants in exploring creative letter writing as a form of ritual for compassionately engaging with eco-grief. Through reflection, writing, and hands-on making, we'll consider how correspondence can give form to the love, gratitude, grief, uncertainty, and hope we carry for the more-than-human world.

Participants will create and seal their own letter on handcrafted paper, addressed to a being, place, landscape, future life, or other part of the living world that holds meaning for them. Halie will share a hands-on demonstration for composing and sealing the letters, transforming the writing itself into a small ritual object to carry forward.

Together, we'll explore what can happen when we make space not only to express our grief, but to remain in relationship with a changing world—to notice more closely, remember what has shaped us, and consider what we hope to protect, tend, or pass on.

No previous writing or art experience is necessary. All materials are included.
