Old Town and Chinatown are Portland's oldest neighborhoods, with deep histories of trade, commerce, and immigration. These aspects influenced its architectural character and future adaptive reuse in the area. PMA will guide attendees through the neighborhoods' history and its layered infrastructure. We'll learn about the past, analyze the present, and look ahead to how preservation and adaptive reuse can keep these historic neighborhoods active, authentic, and resilient.
