Love in Ruins Installation: Informal Sharing

Love in Ruins is a performative and sound research project exploring how bodies respond to rupture, uncertainty, destruction, and transformation.

Emerging from lived experiences of conflict, displacement, and collective witnessing of both devastation and repair, the project asks how bodies hold experiences of war, love, loss, and new beginnings.
Through collaboration with artists whose practices and lived experiences resonate with these themes, the project explores how personal and collective understandings of shared realities are held, reshaped, and reimagined through body and sound.
The work sits somewhere between a prayer, installation, community gathering, performance, and a ceremony. It lives in the tension between these states and invites people into this shared experience.
Following a year-long Love in Ruins residency at Proposition Studios and an upcoming residency at @iklectikartlab, we are opening our research and offering opportunities to share this work in-progress with audiences.
