Join us for a powerful evening celebrating the enduring legacy of 2 of Australia’s most influential musical storytellers – Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter.

Through conversation, live performance and heartfelt reflection, this final special edition of Love and Art honours the profound cultural impact of Archie and Ruby’s music, activism, storytelling and community leadership.

Featuring Amos Roach – son of Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter, carrying forward his parents’ legacy through music, storytelling and cultural practice – the evening will explore the creative and personal legacy of Archie and Ruby, alongside video screenings and live readings of letters written by artists, collaborators and loved ones inspired by their lives and work.

Doors open from 7pm, where you can enjoy after-hours access to before the event begins, and grab a drink from the cash bar.

About Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter

Archie Roach – a Gunditjmara, Kirrae Whurrong/Djab Wurrung and Bundjalung man – and Ruby Hunter – a Ngarrindjeri, Kokatha and Pitjantjatjara woman – were 2 of Australia’s most influential singer-songwriters and storytellers. Through deeply personal songwriting, powerful advocacy and an enduring creative partnership, they transformed Australian music and brought First Nations stories, experiences and voices to audiences across the world.
