THE DANCERS
Lourdes Fernández: Lourdes began to dance at the age of five. From that moment, her life unfolded through the learning of flamenco. She studied dance at the Conservatory of Madrid, has a degree at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid and completed a Masters in Performing Arts at the same university. She also taught dance at Saint Louis University in Madrid and participated at the International Gala of Dance for UNESCO.
Lourdes is constantly looking to develop new forms of expression to enrich the language of flamenco. The her body is simply the luminous manifestation of her soul.
Josie Laurel Sinnadurai: Based in Seville, Spain, Josie trained in flamenco with several of the most renowned schools in Madrid, Seville and Jerez, and also in contemporary dance at London Contemporary Dance School, where she completed her Bachelors and Masters degree.
Josie is a regular performer at the flamenco tablaos Álvarez Quintero and La Carbonería in Seville, as well as being a soloist with Brecon Festival Ballet, and a producer/dancer for contemporary dance company Sweetshop Revolution. She also performs with dancers such as Jesús Olmedo.
