The Annual Derby Gala is a celebration of community and resilience. The evening begins with a cocktail reception, three-course meal, live and silent auction, and recognition of community leaders. It continues with a live concert and after-party, bourbon pull, 360 photo booths, an open bar, and more. Not just a party, it's an opportunity to come together to amplify the voices of the unheard and effect the change we want to see. We are not ready to announce the artist just yet, but last year's gala set the bar as the premier Derby event. This year, we are breaking it.
Since 1920, the League has been vital in empowering Black people and those at the margins by promoting social and economic equality throughout our city. We invite you to join us as a sponsor or participant and help fuel our mission, making a real difference in the lives of many. In the last year, we served 3,335 clients across our pillars of Jobs, Justice, Education, Health, Housing, and Entrepreneurship. That includes 334 career placements, filing 2,841 criminal expungement cases, providing $28.7K in college scholarships, and helping 80 new families become homeowners. Your presence and support are vital to our mission and help fund transformational change in our community.
