🤔 HOW DOES IT WORK?
• You will learn basic skating skills and safety during the 12-week New Recruit Session.
• Skills learned will be assessed during practice by LRD Leadership Members. (Don’t worry; it isn’t a formal assessment! LRD Leadership will be observing your progress during practice to provide individualized feedback and assess your progress as you go.)
❓ WHAT HAPPENS AFTER 12 WEEKS?
After the 12 weeks, you become an LRD member and follow one of two paths:
1.) If you have demonstrated the required skills, safety, and attained 50% attendance during the 12-week period, then you will be invited to additional practice nights in accordance with your current skill level.
2.) If the attendance, skills, and/or safety requirements are not met, don’t worry! You will continue working on Thursdays to hone your skills and/or get your attendance up. When the attendance, skill, and safety requirements are met, you will be invited to additional practice nights in accordance with your current skill level.
GENDER POLICY:
Any cis woman, trans woman, intersex woman, and/or gender expansive may skate with a WFTDA charter team if women’s flat track roller derby is the version and composition of roller derby with which they most closely identify. All Identities are welcome to Referee, NSO, or Volunteer.
