Welcome to the Louisiana Family Day in the Park DC Meetup!
No matter how long you've been away from Louisiana, there's nothing quite like being around folks who just get it. Louisiana Family Day in the Park is our chance to come together, slow down, and enjoy a day that feels a little like home, right here in the Washington, DC area.
Whether you were born and raised in Louisiana, went to school there, lived there for a while, or simply fell in love with the people and culture, you've got a place with us. This is all about good company, good conversation, and the kind of hospitality that makes everyone feel like family.
Bring your family, your favorite food, and your best stories. We'll have hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill while they last, and if you'd like, you're welcome to bring a favorite dish or snack to enjoy or share. There is no obligation to bring anything. Just come ready to relax, laugh, and pass a good time together.
Grab your chairs, blankets, sunscreen, and come spend the day enjoying music, dancing and good company.
A quick favor: Space is limited because the National Park Service limits the number of people allowed at each picnic site. If your plans change and you're no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so someone on the waiting list has the opportunity to join us. We truly appreciate your help in making sure as many people as possible can enjoy the day.

- Complimentary beef/pork hotdogs, beef/ veggie hamburgers, and water will be provided, while they last.
- Hot grills will be available for anyone who wants to grill onsite, with separate grills for pork, beef, and non-meat/plant-based foods, or
- Bring your pre-cooked meal.
