Stage Makeup Workshop with Shabnam

It’s nearly show day: you’ve mastered your choreography, got your costume ready to go, curated the perfect accessories…now what to do about your makeup?!
If stage makeup (or makeup in general) has always eluded you, this workshop will help demystify the process. We’ll go over some skincare and makeup basics in addition to the differences between everyday and stage makeup—and then it’s time to play! Bring your own makeup to practice with (if you’d like) and all of your burning questions: we’ll do our makeup together as we solve mysteries like “Why does my foundation always look cakey?” “Do I have hooded eyes?” and “What is contour for, anyway?”
All are welcome and no experience is needed! To take full advantage of any practical demonstrations, in-person attendance is recommended. You may also want to bring something to take notes or sketch ideas.
If you’ll be doing your makeup, please also bring a beach towel, yoga mat, or similar to protect the floor beneath you. And no sprays or aerosols please!
