The annual Fall Field Day is meant to connect beekeepers of all levels with members of the Louisiana Beekeepers Association and to familiarize them the important work being done at the local USDA-ARS Honey Bee Research lab. In the morning participants will hear talks from members of the Louisiana Beekeepers Association, USDA-ARS staff, and LSU Extension Associates about general updates and progresses in research. In the afternoon there will be several breakout sessions ranging from beginning beekeeping to intermediate and advanced topics including in-hive tours, queen breeding and rearing, specialized equipment, and methods for Varroa control. It is recommended that participants bring their own veils/suits.

This event is for anyone who is interested in beekeeping, or anyone who already has bees. The registration fee is $40 for non LBA members and $35 for members - https://www.labeekeepers.org/event-6739315
