Gel plate printing can be playful, experimental and often unpredictable and that’s part of the magic but what if you could take control, refine your process and create prints that were intentional, layered and professional?
That’s exactly what we will explore in Gel printing – Beyond The Basics. We will use a range of techniques, from layering & colouring to transfers and look at creative ways to use your finished prints. Don’t just pull random layers, learn how to print with confidence and intention
You will have the opportunity to learn how to use Matt and slow dry mediums, as well as layering processes, creative stencil tricks and explore combining with other techniques such as Collagraph and Gel Plate Printing. During this workshop you will learn how to produce a masking tape collagraph plate based on an image of your choice and transfer this masking taped plate onto the Gel Plate, exploring colour application, building layers to pull a final print.
By the end of the session you’ll hopefully not only have some prints but the confidence to keep experimenting and developing your own style.
