Make some noise! Punjabi Roots are bringing their dhol drums to The Beacon in Wibsey Park, and everyone’s invited to come and have a bash.
The two-headed dhol drum is a true icon of South Asian music, absolutely central to the unmistakeable sound of bhangra. Punjabi Roots are Bradford’s masters of bhangra beats, and they’ll be passing on their knowledge at this free workshop in Wibsey.
Discover the history of this classic instrument, explore how it’s used in music today, learn how to play it properly – then pick up a pair of sticks and get drumming.
