Lotion Making 101 is perfect for anyone who has never made lotion from scratch before. If lotions feel intimidating, confusing, or “too science-y,” this class is for you.You’ll learn how lotions and creams are made using all-natural oils, butters, and emulsifiers — and you’ll get to touch, feel, and test ingredients on your skin before choosing what goes into your final product.
We’ll introduce our easy, beginner-friendly “less is more” lotion system, which takes the overwhelm out of formulation and helps you understand why each ingredient is used.
In Lotion Making 101, you’ll learn:
The difference between lotions and creams
Common oils & butters and their skin benefits
How emulsions work (without the confusion)
Ingredient roles: oils, water, emulsifiers, and preservatives
How to safely and confidently make lotion from scratch
Each student will create their own custom lotion and cream to take home.
👉 By the end of this class, you’ll be able to confidently make a basic lotion or cream from scratch using natural ingredients.
