About this Event
Los Alamos WinterFest Weekend, December 5-7, 2025, celebrates winter in Los Alamos! Numerous businesses and organizations schedule events including ballets, bazaars, shows, and sales.
This year's parade is organized by Los Alamos County and Los Alamos MainStreet & Creative District.
The Holiday Lights Parade is the highlight of WinterFest Weekend, taking place Saturday, Dec. 6 at 6 pm. This year's theme is "Red, Green, or Christmas"; please include the theme in your entry.
Remember that throwing candy is prohibited during parades as a safety issue (children tend to then rush the floats). Handing out candy is permitted, however.
Staging begins at 5 pm and the parade starts at 6 pm.
