Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar and RACHO Mezcal Come Together for Día de los Muertos Pairing Dinner

Loro is partnering with RACHO Mezcal Artisanal for a special Día de los Muertos pairing dinner on Thursday October 23rd. This one-night-only collaboration features a four-course chef-curated menu paired with handcrafted RACHO Mezcal cocktails. Guests will be guided through the tasting experience by RACHO Mezcal founder Matthew Ornstein who will share insights into the history and flavor profiles of each pour. 

$75 per guest (exclusive of tax and 20% gratuity)  

MENU + PAIRINGS  

First Course  

• Strawberry Crudo - Compressed Strawberries with tomato water and microgreens 
• Paired with "Pimenton" - RACHO Mezcal lime bell pepper agave 

Second Course 

• Smoked Corn  - Smoked elote coins with caramelized onions and smoked salt crema 
• Paired with "Fuego Verde" - RACHO Mezcal orange liqueur habanero cilantro cucumber syrup lime 

Third Course  

• Chicken Mole - Smoked airline chicken smothered in a Japanese mole sauce pickled red onions white sesame seeds and cilantro served with a side of white rice  
• Paired with "Golden Mirage" - RACHO Mezcal limoncello passion fruit mint syrup lemon orange 

Fourth Course  

• Flan - Classic flan topped with candied 5 spice peanuts drizzled with a Mezcal caramel sauce 
• Paired with "Abuelita's Espresso Martini" - RACHO Mezcal coffee liqueur LDU espresso Abuelita's hot chocolate syrup

Founded in 2018 by James Beard award-winning culinary powerhouses Chef Tyson Cole and Pitmaster Aaron Franklin Loro merges Asian flavors with Texas barbecue to create a selection of dishes you won't find anywhere else. Loro serves grilled and smoked meats with Southeast Asian and Japanese-inspired sauces and sides; the bar features craft beer boozy slushees and batch cocktails.
