About this Event
Bats play an important role keeping insects in check, pollinating plants and dispersing seeds. They also act as an indicator species so it's important to monitor them (and maintain their habitat)
We are super excited that Bat expert and Highgate Woods ranger Cindy is free to guide us on an exploratory walk and talk in Lordship Rec. With the help of sonic bat detectors we will see what's around in the Rec. The was a lot of bat activity last year so hopefully we will see/hear at least the common and soprano pipistrelle, but there may be more species making an appearance. Families welcome (suitable for 7+ ages).
Kindly funded by Haringey People Need Parks (with bats in).
