Higher Vibration is a reggae rock 4 piece native to Erie. The band is made up of Kyle Hammer on vocals and guitar, Jake Van Hooser on bass, Ron Stephens on the keys, and Derek Sloppy on drums. The guys started out playing in a metal band together but grew closer over the years through their love of reggae music, and thus, Higher Vibration was created. Sounds of deep bass and pumping drums alongside lyrics of self-acceptance, love, and inspiration with guitars that flow between mellow rhythms and heavy riffs come together to form a high energy listening experience with the unique positive vibe that only reggae music can provide.
Their debut album From Rivers to Oceans was released October 7th, 2022.
The band recently self produced and released their latest album “INTRAPERSONAL” on September 26th, 2025. Singles from the album include “Change of Pace” ft. Panamera , “Without You” ft. Lopaka Rootz, and “The Light” ft. Indubious
