Fresh flowers in the studio will serve as the inspiration for the start of this dynamic workshop. Janet will guide students through a series of playful and expressive exercises designed to capture the essence of flowers in a loose, expressive style. You'll explore the unique character of individual blooms, discover unexpected color combinations, and experiment with techniques that let watercolor lead the way.
Throughout the workshop, Janet will offer live demonstrations and personalized guidance, encouraging participants to embrace spontaneity and develop confidence in their own creative voice. Emphasis will be placed on preserving the white of the paper, avoiding muddy colors, and working with intuitive composition and color choices.
In addition to demos and one-on-one instruction, students will enjoy a fun and supportive “Show and Tell” session—an opportunity to share and celebrate the work created during class.
