Join us on June 27th from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM for an afternoon at Lookingglass Rural Fire District. This is a great opportunity to connect with your local volunteers, see what your fire district has been working on, and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly event.
We’ll have pulled pork and chicken available, along with hot dogs for the kids, with a suggested donation of $5 per plate to help support the district.
Throughout the day you’ll be able to:
Check out the recent renovations to the fire station
Meet your local volunteer firefighters
Get a close look at our fire apparatus and equipment
Play some cornhole and enjoy time with the community
Try spraying water from a fire hose
Learn about what we’ve accomplished and what’s planned for the future
We’re planning to have several of our partner agencies on site (availability dependent on call volume), including:
Tenmile Rural Fire District, Central Douglas Fire & Rescue, Umpqua Valley Ambulance, Camas Valley Rural Fire District, Douglas County Emergency Management, REACH Air Ambulance, DFPA, and more.
The Lookingglass Grange will also be present, helping support the event and making it a great community gathering.
Bring your family, bring a friend, and come spend some time with us. We look forward to seeing you there.
