Stargazing, storytelling, and s'mores! Join WFDD for our annual listening party lakeside at YMCA Camp Hanes. You can enjoy spooky stories for the whole family while making s'mores nearby. Bring a picnic or grab dinner from one of our food trucks. You'll be able to sit in the lakeside amphitheater or make camp on the hillside overlooking the lake.
After dark make your way over to our telescopes; the Forsyth Astronomical Society will be there giving us a tour of the night sky. Jupiter and Saturn may be visible as well as deep-sky objects such as galaxies and star clusters. If we're lucky, we may even catch a peek of the Orionids meteor shower!
Following the event we will head over to StoCo Provisions in King where you can get your first drink of the night on us.
