About this Event
PD 101 & Community Town Hall is an introductory program for people newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, their care partners, family members, and anyone seeking a clearer understanding of Parkinson’s and how to manage it. This session covers practical strategies for living well, treatment basics, and tools that support physical, cognitive, and emotional well‑being. This portion will be presented by Movement Disorders Fellow Neurologist Abigail Bossart, MD at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Following the presentation, participants are invited to stay for a facilitated town hall discussion. Parkinson’s affects rural communities in unique ways, and we want to hear directly from you. Share the support you’re receiving, challenges you’re facing, resources you wish existed locally, and ideas for strengthening Parkinson’s care in Long View. Your insights help shape PRO’s programs, advocacy, and outreach throughout rural Washington communities.
Brought to Longview with support from the Roundhouse Foundation.
