Longing, Belonging & Standing Out: The Future of Photography Organisations
About this Event
Join photographer Michal Iwanowski and Ffotogallery Creative Director Bob Gelsthorpe for an evening discussion exploring the future of photography organisations and the communities they serve.
Through personal reflections and wider perspectives on photographic practice in Wales and beyond, the conversation will explore themes of belonging, identity, creative migration, and institutional support. Together, the speakers will consider how photography organisations can remain relevant, responsive, and supportive throughout photographers’ careers.
Hosted by Anemone Gerber, Curatorial Resident at Ffotogallery, this event contributes to an ongoing research project informing Ffotogallery’s 50th-anniversary publication in 2028.
Who is this event for?
Everyone is welcome. We particularly encourage Ffotogallery volunteers, photographers, artists, students, and cultural workers to attend.
