Longest Dinner Table 2024

TABLES GO ON SALE FRIDAY 4/19 @ 10AM PST!

You're cordially invited to join us for the 4th Annual Longest Dinner Table event on Thursday, June 20th!

We're thrilled to gather once again to celebrate our wonderful community on the summer solstice. This year, we're expanding the festivities to accommodate 100 tables, making it our longest table yet!

The evening promises to be a delightful affair with an epic potluck dinner serenaded by Tahoe's very own Mescalito.

Like previous years, we'll be organizing individual tables of 6 guests. Secure your table by purchasing a ticket through Eventbrite until June 1st or until they sell out.

Remember: Only one person needs to the buy the table and then it is up to you to fill it with 5 other people.

Besides celebrating our amazing Tahoe Family + Community, we will also be fundraising for the F.E.E.T. (Fulfilling Equitable Educational Trips) Fund of South Lake Tahoe. This local community non-profit improves the educational experience of elementary school students in South Lake Tahoe by providing funds for enriching field trip experiences, particularly for those with financial need. Just like last year-- you simply buy a table using the instructions below:

Decide if you want to be a table leader. Can you rally 5 friends or family members and coordinate the meal and decorations? Great. Buy your table through this Eventbrite page. You're in charge of filling the seats at your own table.

Start creating the best table possible. Each table seats 6 people and is its own self-contained potluck so find 5 friends or family to join you. Each table leader should assign someone to an entree, appetizer, dessert, and/ or beverages. Also, please coordinate who will bring plates, cups, and cutlery.

Start emailing your friends and see if you can get someone else to take on that responsibility. We created a Facebook group where you can look for a few extra seats that another table might have or if you need to fill your table, find some guests to join you!

***Remember- We will provide the tables, chairs, and white tablecloths!***

5:00 PM - Arrive

5:30 - BYOB Cocktail Hour

6:30 PM - Dinner

7:30 PM - Auction

8:00 PM - Music & Dancing

$150 per table. All proceeds go to the F.E.E.T. Fund. Divide up the cost between your table mates!

What is the easiest way to do this event?

Order Take Out! Order from Yugen Cuisine, Thai on Ski Run, Artemis Lakefront Cafe, Riva Grill, Shangrila Himalayan Kitchen or another local establishment. Support local businesses and have less stress (and clean up)! We recommend calling well in advance.

Will there be an oven or another way to heat up food?

No, bring your food ready to serve.

What do I need to bring?

Each table is responsible for its own food, drinks, plates, cups, cutlery, and decorations. Also, this is an outdoor dinner so dress in layers. Temps could range from 45-75 degrees.

What else can I do to help?

If you want to help set up, please let us know.

What will be provided? (AKA, what do I not need to bring?)

We will provide tables, chairs, tablecloths, table lighting, garbage cans, music & fun!

Can I show up without a Table assignment?

No. This event is public but you need to purchase a table or be invited by someone who bought a table; every seat will be spoken for. Feel free to pass this eventbrite link on to friends who might not be on our list though!

What else can(n't) I bring?

Kids are welcome!

With limited space, please leave pets at home, unless it's a certified service animal.

Biking to the event is highly encouraged!!! We will have bike racks thanks to the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition. Bring a lock.

The Lake is why we moved here, and the community is why we stay.
