About this Event

This summer, Haiti's American occupation turns 111 years. With each passing year, that occupation, by and large responsible for the conditions of the Haiti we have today, recedes further from the collective memory. The screening of The Forgotten Occupation is an invitation to our cherished Long Island community to come take part in this effort to preserve a most important and forgotten chapter of Haiti's nuanced history.
